Half Time Round Up from Brunton Park

Over six thousands fans witnessed a closely fought first half on a mire of a pitch at Brunton Park, which was in the main dominated by The Blues. Unfortunately the half time score stands at nil - nil. United – attacking the waterworks end during the first period have gone desperately close three times, Michael Bridges missed from close range on six minutes, shooting straight at the Lincoln keeper - Murray.

Later on 18 minutes he (Bridges) had an effort which struck the crossbar. Two minutes later, Kevin Gray failed to connect with a header from a set piece which was knocked down from Derek Holmes the ball rolling harmlessly out for a goal kick. Lincoln ended the half the stronger of the two teams.

So with it all to play for in the second half, Blues will be looking for the vital breakthrough which will give them three points to extend their lead at the top of the League Two table.
