Despite guiding Carlisle to safety Greg Abbott could still lose his job this week.
Carlisle chief executive David Allen has confirmed that Abbott's status as manager will be discussed this week at a board meeting, but hasn't ruled out parting company with him although it's in his favour that he will be retained: 'Any manager who produces the results Greg has produced over the last few months should be under scrutiny,' Allen told the News & Star. 'As a board, we are going to look at everything we have got in the club from top to bottom - which includes Greg.
'Nobody can say with 100 per cent certainty that Greg is going to be here in two months' time.
'At the moment, all the factors are weighted in his favour. But we are not frightened to make a decision.'
Do you think that Greg Abbott will remain as Carlisle manager going into next season?
