Francois Zoko turned down a new deal with Carlisle in the hope of stepping up a division, although this hasn't happened yet and doesn't seem like it will?
Talk of a Middlesbrough interested was rumoured a few weeks back but that is the only higher league interest believed to be there, while Carlisle's league one rivals Sheffield United and Preston have enquired about him.
"Sky sports understands" that Notts County are the side that will sign the 28-year-old and are in talks with him.
Should he complete this move it could be argued that this isn't even a step up?
