Trial for former Toffee

Carlisle are taking a look at former Everton winger Femi Orenuga following his release.

Greg Abbott, as he told the official website, is taking a look at the teenager who has recovered from a shoulder injury.

Everton, apparently, rated him but not quite enough for him to have made the breakthrough at the highest level: 'Femi was recommended to us and we are more than happy to invite him along so that we can have a look.

'Everton like him, but they obviously have the Premier League to think about, so he has been unfortunate in that they couldn't keep him on. He's had his injury but he has trained well with us.

'It's one where he was happy to come up to see us and we can have a look at him at close quarters before we decide what to do next.'

Carlisle have absolutely nothing to lose by looking at the 19-year-old, and if he can impress and a deal agreed he could end up being a very good signing?
