Striker returns

Given the amount of time that Joe Garner seems to have been around you wouldn't have thought he was only 24-years-old? Alas he is though with the former Carlisle striker returning to Brunton Park this afternoon on loan.

Garner will be well known to Carlisle fans having spent an impressive spell in Cumbria previously when he surprisingly was allowed to join them, having previously been a trainee with Blackburn, in 2008.

A succession of moves has followed over the years without Garner really being able to fully settle, with injuries also biting him, in particular when he had a spell with Nottingham Forest. He has pretty much always continued to score goals though at most clubs.

Watford, who signed him from Forest in August 2011, have allowed him to rejoin Carlisle for an initial one-month loan spell, which should benefit everyone.
