'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The goals will come

Joe Garner will get the goals; this is the opinion of Graham Kavanagh, as he told The News & Star, following the strikers return to Carlisle.

The 24-year-old showed a glimpse of what's to come, only being denied a goal on his return by the post, with the Carlisle assistant manager "sure with the chances" provided to Garner he will score goals.

His 45-minute run-out against Crewe will also help: 'I'm sure with the chances we provide, Joe will get goals.

'I think he looked like he needed the game and he will get to know the lads and get that bit of understanding over the next few days

'He has that know-how and guile. His honesty, endeavour and cleverness were there for all to see.'

Carlisle fans know what Garner can do following his previous spell with the club, his surprise return from Watford on loan saw him given a "heroes welcome" so it's safe to say he's a crowd favourite.

Garner is a goalscorer, that's what he does, so like Kavanagh says so long as the chances are created these goals will inevitably come!
