No deal for winger at Carlisle

There will be no Carlisle deal for Femi Orenuga, following an extended trial spell with The Cumbrians.

Orenuga first linked up with Carlisle early in September following his release by Everton and as much as Greg Abbott thought he "worked really well" and was a "nice lad" he wasn't quite what he wanted.

As such no contract has been offered to the winger: 'Femi is a really nice lad and he has worked really well with us over the last few weeks.

'He is a good player but in our situation we are always looking for players who are better than what we have and who will give us more options.

'We couldn't guarantee him anything at this moment in time so he moves on with our best wishes.'

I'm sure that the 19-year-old will find himself a new club soon enough...
