Paying the penalty

Brentford 2-1 Carlisle
10th November 2012
15:00
Griffin Park

Carlisle missed a late chance to salvage a draw from the visit to Brentford on Saturday, when they suffered defeat.

Brentford took an early lead through Jonathan Douglas (20) but Carlisle weren't behind for long with Joe Garner (26) soon drawing them level, with the sides going into the break level following a wonderful save from Simon Moore to deny young carlisle star Bradley Potts.

The hosts were ahead again just after the hour when Paul Hayes (61) restored their lead, with a 2-1 win secured when Garner missed the chance to equalise late on when his penalty was saved by Moore.
