Third and final extension for Garner

Carlisle are expected to be given permission by Watford to extend the loan spell of Joe Garner for another month.

This 24-year-old has enjoyed a good time since returning on loan in September, scoring seven goals in 12 outings for The Cumbrians.

However, according to The News & Star, this month-long extension will be the final that Carlisle are granted for the striker with Watford unwilling to loan him out again in the New Year.

Watford are believed to be willing to sell the striker though but he might fall outside of Carlisle's budget and, even though he probably would return permanently, other clubs could well have been alerted to his ability following his loan spell.
