'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Derby defender comes to Brunton Park

Valentin Gjokaj has come to Carlisle in the hope of tightening The Cumbrians defence, which has shipped a lot of goals recently.

The 19-year-old has come to Brunton Park until January 2nd with Greg Abbott sure that this is something that can not only benefit Carlisle but also the player too: 'He's another young lad who will come in and give us options at a time when we are looking for depth in our squad.

'Hopefully he will benefit from his time here and he will give us an extra bit of cover and competition that we need.'

Gjokaj signed a two-year contract with Derby in the summer and has made one first-team appearance so far, this came on the opening day of the season.
