'If It's Football, It's Vital'

In search of home comforts

What is the mystery behind Carlisle's disappointing home form of late? Well Paul Thirlwell doesn't know!

The Cumbrians' captain, as he told the official website, feels it could be the fear of failure as the concession of goals is causing confidence issues: 'When we concede at home at the moment we do lose a bit of confidence.

'We're struggling to get wins here and we talked about the next goal being massive when we went in for half-time. We got that, but they killed it off with their late sucker punch.

'I don't know if the home form is preying on people's minds, but what is certain is that something isn't happening here.'

One thing Thirlwell does know is that "as a group of players" the players need to find the answers...

If they can't they have to "accept criticism" it brings as the "preparations" being made ahead of games are right!
