United defender extends Carlisle loan

Sean McGinty's spell with Carlisle will extend into 2013, after a deal was agreed to extend this.

Opportunities haven't exactly come thick and fast for the defender since his arrival from Man United in November but nevertheless, as the defender can continue to feature in development and reserve games for his parent club, the chance of first-team football as well with Carlisle has seen them happy to extend this loan.

The 19-year-old will now stay at Brunton Park until January 5th.
