Carlisle keeper signs new deal

Mark Gillespie's progress and form this season has seen him rewarded with a new contract.

Greg Abbott, as he told the official website, feels the 20-year-old is more than worthy of his new deal: 'Mark keeps improving and that is good news for all of us.

'We have seen already this season that he is ready to do a job and we think he is just going to get better and better.

'This gives him a chance to really focus now and to push himself on even further.'

20-year-old Gillespie has signed a new two--year contract that will keep him at Brunton Park until 2015 now.
