Carlisle Fightback For A Point

Carlisle 1-1 Scunthorpe
26th January 2013
15:00
Brunton Park

Carlisle secured a late point at Brunton Park against Scunthorpe on Saturday afternoon.

The chances were few and fair between in the opening 45-minutes, however arguably it was the visiting Iron that just shaded it.

Carlisle started the second half the better of the sides but it was Scunthorpe that forced the breakthrough when topscorer Karl Hawley (52) forced the breakthrough as he scored from close range.

Just minutes after his arrival as a sub David Symington (76) blasted home a 30-yard free kick belter to draw Carlisle level and ensure the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.
