New Arrival Catalyst To Upturn In Fortunes

Carlisle are now three unbeaten, and this upturn in fortunes has been attributed to a recent arrival.

Sean O'Hanlon was brought in recently and Greg Abbott, as he told BBC Radio Cumbria, knows he has some cracking defender to select from but his signing has been a really important one: 'He has been a really good addition and we are delighted with him.

'We have got four centre-halves now that really on form any two from four could play in most teams in this division we think they are that good.'

In the three games that O'Hanlon has played for the club they've only conceded one goal with him branded "immense", Abbott added: 'Sean has been immense.

'That's one goal in three games he has played and I think that is seven points out of nine since he has been with us.'

The 30-year-old certainly brought with him a wealth of experience, and to be fair isn't lacking quality either so it's fair to say that Abbott picked up a good defender when he snapped up the former Hibs man.
