'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Defender Keen On Carlisle Stay

Sean O'Hanlon was highly praised by Greg Abbott recently, with the Carlisle boss praising the impact he has made since arriving as a free agent following his release by Hibernian.

The 30-year-old, as he told The News & Star, is more than happy playing for The Cumbrians with this fitting in well with his family life too as his family still live in Edinburgh.

First and foremost the defender wants to keep playing football but if a longer-term deal were offered him he would take it. Asked the question he said: 'I would like to, yes. But that's down to the manager. It's not my decision.'

There isn't a need to make an instant decision on O'Hanlon's future, however if he continues to perform as he has thus far I think it's safe to say he'll still be at Brunton Park next season!
