Carlisle See Of Stevenage To Win Again

Carlisle 2-1 Stevenage
9th February 2013
15:00
Brunton Park

Carlisle maintained their recent upturn in form with a win over 10-man Stevenage at Brunton Park on Saturday afternoon.

In his first home start in more than a year following injury Rory Loy (9), having scored away last time out, opened the scoring for Carlisle.

Stevenage were reduced to 10-men shortly after when keeper Steve Arnold was sent off, which saw Carlisle awarded a penalty. Lee Miller (14) made no mistake with the hosts in complete control early on.

The visitors were back in the game at the midway point of a frantic first half when Marcus Haber (22) reduced the deficit.

Carlisle couldn't add to the scoring, as they were denied by the woodwork on three occasions, but they ran out 2-1 victors.
