News To Abbott!

Graham Kavanagh has been linked with a possible switch to Hartlepool?

Kavanagh was/is expected to sign a new contract with The Cumbrians to stay on as Greg Abbott's assistant manager, however some reports have linked the Irishman to Victoria Park.

Asked about these reports Abbott, as he told The News & Star, said they were "news to him" and he expected him to commit his future to Carlisle with little truth to these rumours?

He said: 'I don't know where these rumours came from. It's the first I've heard of it.

'Kav went away three days ago and I spoke to him on the day he went.

'He was doing his bits and pieces with John like I am. We're trying to tie it all together and that's all I know.

'I think it's better not to listen to rumours, but facts.'

That's that then, or is it?
