A Step Closer?

Having been training with Carlisle anyway Lewis Guy has moved a step closer to sealing a deal with the club.

St Mirren had made the striker aware that he was free to leave the club and this was seeing him train, well basically trial, with the Cumbrians. However, on Friday it was agreed that the Scottish club had agreed to mutually cancel his contract a year early.

The 27-year-old will be best remembered, probably, from his time with Doncaster but more recently he was with MK Dons this side of the border.

Guy might have moved a step closer to joining Carlisle with his release, however it's now up to him to ensure that he gets this deal by impressing in the weeks ahead.
