Carlisle Seek First Win Against Port Vale

Can that first league one win of the season finally come for Carlisle this weekend? If it is going to though they'll have to see off Port Vale, which will be far from easy.

New signings Leon McSweeney and Conor Townsend could make their Carlisle debuts, Townsend is probably the more likely of the two at this stage though you'd think. If he does, and plays at left back, incredibly he'd become the fifth player to start at left back in the last seven games.

A jinx position it would seem...

Daniel Jones (groin) is set to miss out having been injured last week, if he does Liam Chilvers looks set to come in.

The omens fancy Carlisle, they've not lost a league game to Port Vale in 50-years! The problem is Carlisle have made one of their worst starts to a season in many a year too.
