'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Round Three In Sight

The FA cup third round is a date that's always special in the footballing calendar.

We want to be part of that weekend when it comes in the New Year, and first and foremost the draw that takes place for this on Sunday afternoon!

Carlisle take on Brentford knowing that they are a win, potentially just 90-minutes, from a money spinning third round tie against someone like Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United etc.

What a boost that would be to our coffers!

Craig Roddan and Tom Lawrence, on loan from Liverpool and Man United respectively, have been granted permission to feature for us but QPR, Blackburn and United have rejected a plea to allow fellow loanees Max Ehmer, Josh Morris and Ben Amos to play a part.

Courtney Meppen-Walter may well come in for his debut, after signing a short-term deal recently.

Due to Amos being refused permission to play Greg Fleming will come back in with Lewis Brass recalled from his loan spell with Durham City to act as cover.

Brentford are a class act, the fact that their boss Uwe Rosler (who is interesting Wigan) has just won the league one manager of the month award pays testament to the form they are on but this is the FA cup after all isn't it!

All being well we can make the Brunton Park advantage count as one...
