Chimbonda Extension Agreed

Pascal Chimbonda's short term Carlisle deal expired following the 4-2 defeat to Colchester United, however a new deal has been agreed.

Carlisle surprised many by bringing in the former French international in October, that being said he wasn't inundated with offers and was languishing around the non-league scene at the time.

He'd made a positive impact on and off the pitch and this left Graham Kavanagh keen to secure his experience and ability for longer.

The boss now knows that he'll be able to call upon the 34-year-old until the end of the season as despite reported interest from other clubs, as far as his agent was confirmed, he's signed an extension to stay at Brunton Park until the end of the season.
