Boss Going Into The Unknown?
Graham Kavanagh has revealed that he might take a gamble on an 'unknown quantity' in the transfer market.
As Carlisle a very limited with the defensive options available Kavanagh has already spelt out that he's looking to use the emergency loan market once again to ease these concerns but might have to 'take a gamble' on someone unproven.
This, to a degree, wasn't something that he wanted to do but and isn't going to 'waste money' but something of a 'calculated risk' appears on.
The Carlisle boss told the News & Star 'I've never known a first half of a season without any injuries, and a second half to have the amount we've had. It's been absolutely incredible.
'I keep saying that I could gamble and get players in who I don't know anything about, just to get bodies in the building.
'If they are not better than what we have, I'm just wasting the club's money. I've got to get players in who I feel will improve us but its getting to the stage where I may have to gamble.
'That might end up happening.'
He also ruled out recalling Danny Livesey from his loan that he's currently on until the end of the season with non-league outfit Wrexham.
