'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Amoo Backs Himself

David Amoo is backing himself to offer up the quality to impress for Carlisle in league two next season.

With league two more physically demanding than league one, which is hardly a walk in the park, most would have you think that there is no real place at that level for players that are created and have the pace about them to make something happen.

The Cumbrians' top goalscorer from last season believes that there is though and he can offer this by adapting to that level, which is a new level for him.

Amoo told the News & Star: 'It's a tougher league physically and it's going to be about working hard as it will be more of a battle than League One.

'I've never played in League Two and it is going to be a hard environment but we have got to adapt to it. Although it is going to be difficult, it could be an exciting time.

'Hopefully we will still be able to pass the ball, play some exciting football and run at players and beat them. I`ll be using all the skills I have to try to create chances for our strikers.

'It's up to me to adapt to the league and the challenges it brings.'

The winger's 11-goals last season weren't enough to keep Carlisle in league one but they were enough to surprise him as he didn't think that he would score that amount. Alas he also knows that they counted for nothing in the end as it was a season of disappointment....
