'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A New Energy About The Club

It seems that the summer away, a number of departures and some new arrivals has recharged Carlisle and left a positive air flowing through the club.

This is certainly what Graham Kavanagh feels anyway, as he's spoken about how he feels a sense of positivity from everyone connected to the club again with people talking about the club in a 'positive manor' again, which wasn't the case very often last season.

Players that suffered relegation with the Cumbrians last season, that have remained, have come back to pre-season recharged and revived with the boss thinking that they have 'a point to prove' with no relegation hangover being seen at the moment.

The new arrivals have also brought 'different styles' that also helps, so with a 'clean slate' going forward he is looking forward to the 2014/15 season.

Kavanagh told the official website: 'There's a new energy about it because the new lads are here with a point to prove. They've brought different styles and ways of training in so it's given everybody a boost.

'People are talking about the club in a positive manner again which is always nice. There was a bad vibe around the place at the end of last season, which was totally understandable, but we've got a clean slate and I think everybody is looking forward to the season ahead.'

Now he hopes for this to 'impact on season ticket' as well as other 'people through the gate'.

A campaign is up and running for an attendance of 6,000 to kick-off the season, the boss feels that this new positivity makes it possible and if it does he will be looking for a good performance and a result to build up some momentum for a successful season....
