Defender Missing Opening Fixtures
Carlisle have confirmed that Troy Archibald-Henville will miss the start to the new season.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs, Exeter City and Swindon Town man made his return to Brunton Park, where he had been on loan for a short spell last season, on a permanent two-year contract last week but we now know he will miss the opening three games of the 2014/15 season.
Archibald-Henville was sent off playing for former club Swindon at the end of last season, as this was his second sending off it brought the mandatory suspension along with extra due to his second offence.
That all meant the 25-year-old would serve a four-match suspension.
He missed one last season for Swindon but three will carry over into this season meaning he'll miss the season opener with Luton Town and then the Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers games to follow....
This is a disappointment but the club would have been aware of this when he signed and you have a squad to cover such events so it gives someone else an early season chance to shine.
