Defender's Debut On Hold

Troy Archibald-Henville's Carlisle debut has had to be put on hold.

Well actually it would have been his 'second debut' wouldn't it, following his debut being made during a loan spell from Swindon Town last season.

Graham Kavanagh, who saw Archibald-Henville's loan spell last season cut short due to injury, brought the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster back on a permanent basis this summer.

He missed the start of the season due to suspension but his proposed return to first-team action tomorrow nigh against Cheltenham Town isn't going to happen as a calf injury is set to rule him out for a further two-weeks....

On a more positive note though the News & Star says that we could be in for a 'small windfall' due to Gary Madine featuring for Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

The former Carlisle striker triggered a payment clause when he came on in the championship outfit's nil-nil draw at the weekend, the amount isn't known but something is better than nothing!
