Miller In Team Of The Week (22/8/17)

Miller In Team Of The Week (22/8/17)

Carlisle United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Tom Miller in the three nil victory over Cheltenham Town at the weekend at Brunton Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Miller was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Miller showed his capabilities at either end of the pitch as Carlisle eased to a 3-0 win over Cheltenham Town. Giving the Robins little opportunity to find the net, the full-back then popped up to score a delightful goal and add extra gloss to the result.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Miller for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Matt Gilks (Scunthorpe United), Jack O'Connell (Sheffield United), Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Tom Miller (Carlisle United), Ricky Holmes (Charlton Athletic), Conor Hourihane (Aston Villa), Sean Longstaff (Blackpool), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Jack Marriott (Peterborough United), Devante Cole (Fleetwood Town), David Nugent (Derby County).

Manager - Michael Flynn (Newport County).
