It wasn't to be a dream start for our new boss, against his former side, as a comeback came too late.

New Carlisle boss Keith Curle, as fate would have it, came up against his former side Mansfield Town on Saturday afternoon as his new job with us got underway. A disastrous first half left us with too much to do as we eventually lost 3-2 at the One Call Stadium.

Lee Beevers (4) headed home a rare goal to give the hosts the lead early on, he doesn't score many but he will take that.

Rakish Bingham (34 & 41) scored twice to make it three-nil to the hosts at the break.

David Amoo (61) gave us hope on the hour with Kyle Dempsey's (71) goal 10-minutes late giving us real hope of a fightback to earn, what had seemed an unlikely point, but we couldn't find an equaliser as we remain rooted to the foot of the league 2 table.

Not the way that Curle would have wanted to start, but the fightback should give him some encouragement.
