Cumbrians 1-0 Tranmere Rovers

1 - 0

Brunton Park

Finally it's happened, Carlisle have won a league game! This, in our new bosses first game at home, came at the weekend.

In his first game in charge at Brunton Park Keith Curle lead Carlisle to a first league 2 win of the season as we secured, even at this stage of the season, a crucial three-points against Tranmere Rovers after a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

A game that seemed as though it would end goalless, with Patrick Brough having a couple of good chances for us that he couldn't take, was won with a little under 20-minutes to go as David Amoo headed in Danny Grainger's corner.

Tranmere had a good chance to go away with a point but George Donnelly couldn't take his chance late on.
