Accrington 3-1 Carlisle (League 2)

Accrington Stanley

Referee:

Carlisle's run without a win was extended on Easter Monday when we suffered defeat at Accrington to leave us very much worried about League 2 survival.

The three-one defeat, with our goal a consolation in injury-time, at the Crown Ground means we stay just above the bottom two.

Accrington made a first half breakthrough when Mingoia scored to send them into the break one-up.

Shortly past the hour mark Windass (62) made it two nil and the game was up just minutes later when Conneely (65) added the third from close range.

An injury-time goal from Dempsey (90+3) was nothing more than a consolation but it could prove important as far as goal-difference goes?

Defeat leaves us just three-points clear of the bottom two.
